The Next JioPhone Price in India Has Been Revealed: It Starts at Rs. 1,999 With Financing

JioPhone Next, Reliance’s and Google’s entry-level smartphone, has officially debuted in India. The device will be available beginning with Diwali, and its price has been confirmed. Reliance has introduced low-interest instalment arrangements that enable users to purchase the phone for as little as Rs. 1,999. These EMIs begin at little Rs. 300 per month. The JioPhone Next is powered by Pragati OS, an Android-based operating system designed exclusively for the Indian market. Additionally, a 13-megapixel back camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 SoC, and the Translate Now function are included.

What is PRAGATI OS?

JioPhone Next pricing and availability in India 

The new JioPhone Next is priced at Rs. 6,499 in India. For the stated price, the smartphone may be purchased upfront without the need of an EMI plan. Alternatively, purchasers may choose the Easy EMI option, which requires an initial payment of Rs. 1,999 (plus Rs. 501 processing costs) and the remainder in easy EMI. 

Reliance Jio has stated that the JioPhone Next would be available for purchase starting on Diwali, or November 4. To acquire the device, consumers must visit a Jio Mart digital shop or register on the company’s website. Users may also register via WhatsApp by sending a ‘Hi’ to 7018270182. Once the registration process is complete, the customer will get an email confirmation. To collect their JioPhone Next, the user must visit a nearby JioMart shop.

Specifications for the JioPhone Next 

On the technical aspect, the JioPhone Next is powered by Pragati OS, an optimised version of Android designed specifically for Indian people. It comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ (1,440 x 720 pixels) display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and an anti-fingerprint coating. The phone is powered by a 1.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 quad-core CPU and comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of extendable internal storage. 

The JioPhone Next comes equipped with a 13-megapixel back camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. Portrait mode, night mode, and preloaded India-specific augmented reality filters will all be available on the rear camera. The phone is equipped with a 3,500mAh battery. A Micro-USB port, a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, and dual-SIM (Nano) slots round out the connectivity possibilities. An accelerometer, a light sensor, and a proximity sensor are all included onboard. JioPhone Next will also have automatic software updates. 

JioPhone Next supports Google Assistant, which assists users by answering queries such as “open app” and “manage settings.” Additionally, there is a ‘Read Aloud’ option that enables users to have on-screen material read to them. This enables people to consume material by listening to it in their native language. Finally, the JioPhone Next includes a ‘Translate’ feature that enables users to have any text translated into a language of their choice.
