Karan Johar recalled during his appearance on Indian Idol 12, “With Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol because the lead actors, nobody said yes to the role of the second lead. I visited three or four actors, I won’t name them, but all of them said no. i used to be very disappointed and with my sad face, I visited attend a celebration at Chunky Pandey’s house.”
Salman approached him at the party and asked, “Tune shopping Karli?” ” A perplexed Karan inquired on what he meant, and Salman replied that he’s aware that Karan has been unsuccessful in casting for the role.“Iss film ko karne ki liye paagal hona chahiye aur main wo pagal hoon,” Salman added. Karan claimed he was stunned when the superstar agreed to play the part because he wasn’t even on his list of possible candidates.
The actor agreed to play the part and invited the filmmaker to return to his house subsequent day to narrate it. ”After hearing the primary half, he responded, ‘I’ll do the movie.’ I became concerned because I feared he mistook me for Shah Rukh Khan. ‘Sir, aapka role aaya nahi abhi tak,’ I told him. Salman said it doesn’t matter what character he plays because he knows my father and is making the film for him,” Karan explains.
