How To Create A Study Schedule For NEET Subject-wise

How To Create A Study Schedule For NEET Subject-wise
  • Knowing the syllabus and pattern

To establish a fixed schedule, you must be familiar with the  NEET 2021 curriculum. The 4  NEET sections: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, covered in grades 11 and 12, are part of the curriculum. Students can expect a series of questions to appear from different sections.

The right strategy can cover the extensive study plans that will help you easily score in the exam. The NCERT books for these subjects will help you build a solid foundation and clear your doubts to answer challenging questions.

  • Importance of resting while preparing

Get 7-8 hours of continuous sleep every day. Study for at least 10 to 11 hours a day. During your study time, be careful not to engage in activities that distract you or take up more time. Your focus should only be on cracking NEET.

  • Some general tips for biology

Don’t leave any NCERT topic, line, or word untouched. You need to memorize NCERT Biology.

Review the highlights from your notes/coaching modules / NCERT.

First, take a look at the entire chapter in just 5 minutes, then dig into concepts and diagrams.

Keep a record of graphs, data, contributions from scientists with the years mentioned and examples in the book. Try to explain the diagrams and concepts to yourself, you will remember the subject much better.

There are some fact-based chapters that should be memorized, do it regularly.

After finishing a chapter, read the NEET questions from the previous year for at least 10 years to see the trend and type of questions asked in a chapter.

  • Some tips for biology

In organic chemistry, it is necessary to study all the reaction mechanisms and memorize all the mentioned reactions. Study the chapter and take notes as you study each chapter. In your spare time, keep thinking about reactions and mechanisms.

Complete NCERT thoroughly and you will receive your basic knowledge of inorganic chemistry. Take precise notes on each chapter. Try to mark only the points that you often confuse or forget. Don’t check every line. In biology, be thorough with graphics and their labels. Practice biology questions. Practice is as important in biology as it is in physics and chemistry.

For Physical Chemistry, read NCERT and clarify your concepts at your school. After you have finished the chapter, write all the equations in the chapter in a notebook for quick reference as you solve the problems. Take quick notes. Don’t put a mechanism on your sticky notes, just write down the net reaction and when reviewing your sticky notes keep the mechanism in mind. The key is to check as often as possible.

Write sticky notes and post them in your room. You can remember many things by seeing them on a daily basis. Focus on understanding, not just memorizing. Memorization is good as long as you understand the concepts more deeply.

Take precise notes on each chapter. You may think that keeping so many notes is a waste of time at this point, but they will prove essential to your NEET performance.

Keep the notebook of your mistakes and review them regularly.

Use flashcards and mnemonics to help you learn and remember difficult words, phrases, and phrases. Practicing and testing new questions is very important in chemistry. If you don’t practice the questions regularly, you won’t be able to memorize the formulas and concepts used.

  • Tips for physics

Check everything after class. Look at the things you learned in class. If necessary, edit your class notes to make them more readable. Review all formulas with multiple cases and conditions applied. NEET Important Questions for Units & Measurements should be solved for better understanding

You can also use a whiteboard or the back of your bedroom door to write formulas and read and update them with the newest ones. Remember that in physics all you can remember are formulas. You should know its derivatives. The biggest mistake you can make when studying physics is simply collecting random data and taking the exam.

Practice as many questions as you can during revision time.

When solving questions, always mark them according to their degree of difficulty and the number of attempts to solve them so that next time you will only solve them with accuracy.

  • The examination pattern

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the NEET entrance exam in pen mode currently. The NEET questionnaire lasts 3 hours and comprises a total of 180 physics, chemistry, and biology questions  (90 biology questions and 45 physics and chemistry questions each). All questions are objective (multiple choice questions); each question with a choice of four answers, of which only one is the correct choice. Each question carries 4 points for each correct answer. There is also a negative rating where 1 point is deducted for each incorrect answer.

  • Things to avoid while preparing for the NEET
  • Long hours of study lead to fatigue. Short breaks after 45 to 60 minutes of study can increase your productivity.
  •  Referring to multiple sources, books, and study materials for similar topics and chapters puts a lot of cognitive strain on memory. When preparing for NEET, quality is more important than quantity. So NCERT should be given preference.
  •  Procrastination: Procrastination is a vague habit, you don’t need to do it when you are preparing for NEET. It is a habit to finish work and assignments on time to achieve your goal. Clear your doubts as soon as possible. Self-discipline is the inner force that drives you to study hard instead of doubting or making excuses.
  •  Excessive TV / social media/gaming: distractions come from a lack of interest in studying. When you want something with all your heart, your goal is clear to get it. You’ll have a lot of time later to spend your time enjoying the things you missed while getting ready. Get rid of all distractions like television, social media platforms, video streaming platforms, PUBG, etc.
  •  Depression due to low test scores. Always set a goal on your monthly or practice tests about how many points you should get on them. However, don’t set big goals that are unattainable. You will improve with each test. Don’t let poor grades get you down or overconfident.
